AndesWines.com Launches Ancestral Cabernet Sauvignon Tour Featuring Vines Aged Between 50 and 150 Years
A Tailor-Made experience that travels through Chile’s most renowned wine valleys and culminates in Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards with more than 150 years of history, near San Rosendo, close to the Laja River in the Biobío Region.
AndesWines.com this week announced the launch of its new 150-Year-Old Ancestral Cabernet Sauvignon Tour, a highly specialized wine and gastronomy experience designed for wine lovers, collectors, and industry professionals seeking an authentic connection to the origins, history, and family producers who have shaped Chilean wine.
The tour is led by Maximiliano Morales, an agricultural engineer and specialist in viticultural project development and high-value experiential design. Morales personally guides each journey, creating direct connections between participants and the key figures behind Chile’s wine territories.
A Journey Through Chile’s Great Cabernet Sauvignon Valleys
The experience includes visits to Chile’s main Cabernet Sauvignon–producing valleys:
- Aconcagua Valley
- Maipo Valley
- Cachapoal Valley
- Colchagua in Rapel Valley
- Maule Valley
- Bío-Bío Valley
- Ñuble Valley
Each stop features private tastings, technical vineyard and winery tours, and personal encounters with winegrowing families and winemakers, highlighting generational knowledge and the unique identity of each terroir.
The Grand Finale: 150-Year-Old Cabernet Sauvignon Vines
The centerpiece of this experience is its conclusion at Chile’s oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, with vines approximately 150 years old, located near San Rosendo, an area of exceptional historical and viticultural value close to the Laja River in the Biobío Region.
At each visit, participants enjoy local gastronomy, while immersing themselves in an intimate and profound experience that explores the origins of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon from a historical, agricultural, and human perspective—far from traditional wine tourism routes.
Tailor-Made Experiences
Under the Tailor-Made Wine concept, each tour is customized according to the group’s profile, with journey options lasting, including tastings in Santiago.
- 4 days
- 6 days
- 8 days
This flexibility allows for adjustments in pace, technical depth, cultural or gastronomic focus, and level of exclusivity.
More Than a Tour: A Connection to the History of Chilean Wine
This launch reinforces Andes Wines’ vision of creating meaningful wine experiences, where wine is not just a product, but a living history, a territory, and a community.
“It’s not just about visiting vineyards, but about understanding why Chile is one of the world’s great Cabernet Sauvignon countries—from its deepest roots,” says Maximiliano Morales.
