TRIVENTO RESERVA 2005:
Plum red of medium deep colour. Quite closed on the nose with aromas of mint, roast meat and recurrants. Quite ‘hot’ and alcoholic on the nose. On the palate, round with warm alcohol and dusty tannins. Touches of min and vanilla. Slightly ‘chalky’ wood. Slightly lacking in concentration and depth.

CHIÑIGUE 2003 – TERRANTAI (VALLE ITATA):
Deep plum red with vibrant purple edge. On the nose, mint sauce and roast lamb. Slightly ‘resiny’ nose with touches of charcoal. On the palate, mint, red berry fruits and meat of moderate intensity. Some cumin and star anise. Dusty, chalky tannins with vanilla oak. Moderate persistence and concentration.

FINCA EL RETIRO 2004 - TITTARELLI:
Intense, deep blood red. Black middle. On nose, oak predominates with some cherry fruit. Big bodied with high extraction and gripping tannins. Lots of vanilla oak with slight volatile acidity. The wood overpowers the fruit. Moderate persistence and concentration.

TAMARI 2004 – MENDOZA:
Deep blood red with a purple edge. On nose, smoky bacon with cherry. Appears very young on the nose with some mint notes. Medium bodied, round with red fruits and smoke on the palate. A little bitter on the finigh. Slightly lacking in concentration on the mid palate. Smoky cherry persistence. Interesting wine.

BODEGA EL PORVENIR 2004 - LABORVM:
Deep blood red in colour with a purple rim – very intense colour. Perfumed on the nose with violets and cassis of high intensity. Fruity nose. In the palate, moderate concentration with sweet red and black fruits. Lovely wine/wood integration with moderate complexity. Slightly hot and bitter to finish with dusty tannins.

LOMA LARGA (VALLE DE CASABLANCA - CHILE):
Deep blood red in colour with vibrant purple edge. Berry fruits with notes of aniseed and vanilla. Slightly ‘hot’, alcoholic nose. Lovely wine/wood integration on the palate with intense red berry fruit flavours and a touch of anise. Good concentration and dusty tannins. Very young. Needs more time.
